WI Dec. Cooking Day

Well, another cooking day under our belts! We deviated from our original plan of making Alfredo Sauce to opt to wait until the ingredients were on sale. In its place we made Black Bean Lasagna, which is ALWAYS delicious! Along with the lasagna we made Italian Meatballs, Chicken Pot Pies & Beef Stew. See the yummy pics!

Next month Mary & Jackie can't make it, so we are opening our co-op to 2-3 people from various acquantences. We'll see how much interest there is...it should make for a fun cooking day!

January's cooking day is on Sunday the 2nd at 12:30pm. We will be making Swiss Bacon Meatloaf, Creamy Pasta Bake, Parmesan Chicken, French Toast, and if we have a 5th person cooking, Lemonade Chicken.

We are a group of moms who get together about once a month or so to cook Meals Made Ahead.

Meals Made Ahead are great because it's nice to always have something in the freezer for those nights that are busy, those nights when you can't think of anything to make, those nights when you have nothing to cook with because you didn't feel like dragging two screaming kids through the grocery store, those nights when you just don't feel like cooking.

Sure, we could do this on our own. But it's much more fun to cook with friends (and share the clean up!)
