December 2009 Cooking Day

Cooking day was another success. For about $25 we each took home half a dozen dip mixes, two cookie mixes, a batch of slice-and-bake (and glaze) cookies and two dozen little taco tartlets. We've definitely made a dent in our holiday cooking and baking!

In addition to our other menu items, here are the other dip mixes we made:
Pizza Dip
Dill Dip
Fiesta Dip

We are a group of moms who get together about once a month or so to cook Meals Made Ahead.

Meals Made Ahead are great because it's nice to always have something in the freezer for those nights that are busy, those nights when you can't think of anything to make, those nights when you have nothing to cook with because you didn't feel like dragging two screaming kids through the grocery store, those nights when you just don't feel like cooking.

Sure, we could do this on our own. But it's much more fun to cook with friends (and share the clean up!)

The secret ingredient
